About my dolls
Each doll is carefully designed and hand-made by me. I buy small quantities of fabric at a time, so no two dolls will be alike. I custom-dye the muslin for the the body. I hand-stitch the face and use wool yarn for the hair for my rag dolls. I also needlesculpt the faces of some of my dolls. My papier maché doll faces are fully hand-sculpted without using any molds. Some of my papier maché doll designs are inspired by styles from Izannah Walker and other famous doll makers of yore. For most of my dolls, I make the limbs bendable so the dolls can be displayed in many poses.
